So strange that the peloton is still so big. I guess Ineos still have an effect of no one attacking.

Even the fight for the stage win hasn't been particularly interesting. Like I said two days ago, neither Orcières-Merlette nor Lusette-Aigoual are worth much without a decent run-in and in week 1.

This is classic 2012 Giro mindset. A bit like when Sylwester Szmyd was making the pace late in his career, so many people are used to Ineos getting on the front and drilling it that they think "if I can follow their tempo, I'm doing fine", and give them carte blanche to set whatever speed they want and people will let them.

Of course it wouldn´t make any sense to attack now. It is just disappointing that no team was willing to set a higher pace.

Yeah... I just dont understand why people on here that are really knowledgable most of the time make such posts though. Or shows that lack of patience for race thats just developing.
Today is more a stage where you dont wanna lose time. A stage like Saturday is probably where someone that is feeling good might make a real effort to distance some rivals.
