I dont think that was the reason; Pog didnt want to pull Roglic all the way and Rogla didnt want to do a pullPog and Rog gave it a go for a while there but couldn't get near him

Seriously sad how this stage went, but that win from Alaphilippe was incredible. Of course he profited from the small peloton but he was far and beyond the strongest.
