Colbrelli lost both power and leadout men by having to make it back to the front though, but 0 points here is definitely a disaster for him, when we know he's currently faster than Matthews head-to-head.
Colbrelli might be better in the Intermediates where it's just a few riders but Matthews has been much better in every bunch sprint so far

I think that lead out is so dominant you could put any of the top 15 today after Morkov and they will win.

You look at them and then you look at Philipsen and Bouhanni moving up the side with one guy. No chance.

Ineos getting caught out in the crosswinds was a surprise. One minute they're at the front next minute only Carapaz

Imagine if Cav ties or breaks the Merckx record in Paris
Merckx two weeks from now:

Darn textbook ride by Cavs squad. Even though I don't like him Ala he rode his guts out setting that up. Just a devastating pace from WAY out that did major damage.

Sure, I don't expect him to be better than Matthews in this kind of finish, but 17th is clearly not a true representation of his level either.
Cavendish is a bit lucky that the two of them are hurting each other's chances, but that should obviously not take anything away from his own great performances.

Really love the drama of these sprint stages and the athletic skill-set required to win them. A much better sporting spectacle than having a fat guy in an orange Borat-kini running alongside the leaders on a mountain stage.

Philipsen and Bouhanni got a little close and personal in that sprint.

I suspect Ewan is rueing his error watching this from home, but all this talk about him taking 6 stages if he'd have stayed upright are a little silly. As Red Rick mentioned, van Aert won two stages last year and can't get close to Cav this Tour. Cav didn't look too far off Bennett and Scheldeprijs and has taken a few steps forward since then, so he'd probably have given Bennett a run for his money in the hypothetical scenario that they are at the Tour in different teams.

The somewhat weakened field doesn't diminish from what is an incredible performance in what could be a history-making Tour for Cav.

Danilo Hondo 2010 should be mandatory viewing in all team busses before the next stage.

Bunch of idiots letting Ballerini easily get into that final corner.

Old Pat will be smug as chuff now. Texting Sammy B on a night 'I told you so'
Sam Bennett never won more than 2 stages in one TDF. Cavendish multiple times more then 3. Now on 3 already.

TBH I think top Cavendish is clearly better at finishing it off than Sam
