So now the riders are protesting. Against what, exactly? What changes do they want? Also, hasn't the roadbook been available for a long time? Why not make objections against the parcours then instead of now in the middle of the race?
Seriously, they're correct this time around. In difference to the Giro d'Italia. It was absolutely unnecessary to include these tricky stages at the start of the Tour de France WITHOUT a starting time trial that settles the times of the riders in advance or another stage on Sunday or Monday that does just this. Having these stages with small gaps on the general classification and everyone wanting to be at front was just deliberately staging drama that resulted in serious injuries for humans. All for the action.

Of course Prudhomme & Gouvenou won't be fired again and that clown Lappartient already built a bridge for them to escape their responsibility.

Vegni probably retires after some little polemics only.

A prologue would change nothing. I don't see any GC contender who has lost 20-30 seconds back off in the fight for position.

The are not protesting the route design, they are protesting that they were not listened to, when they asked for the 3K limit to be moved out.

Last KM's profile would suggest WVAert vs Sagan vs Colbrelli.

I'll go with Sagan...

How do you guys see it?

It's not really an uphill sprint, so I doubt Merlier, Démare (if he's not feeling yesterday's crash too much), Matthews, Cavendish, Bol and others should be in trouble. I don't think Sagan and Colbrelli are fast enough in this field either.

Apparently, Alpecin is riding for Philipsen today. That sounds crazy to me, but I guess there's a reason why they brought him here.
