And what a twist at the end, in the space of a second we went from wondering how much time Carapaz would gain to seeing the peloton swallow him up.

The mountains ahead should be thrilling.

The Tour punishes riders carrying injuries every time. It was just a matter of how bad the injuries impacted him & clearly it was a lot. He should go home now & not risk his career here.

Mohoric is a beast. That was a big day out. He and Pogacar chatting as they warm down is cute but don't think Rog will join them. IMO he should drop out and go for the 3peat in the Vuelta

Pog definitely used some energy, and his team will feel this stage, so I wouldn't say it was a great day for him. better than it could of been thanks to Movistar, but his team couldn't even chase down for 1 day, so not sure how helpful they will be too him if he is ganged up on in the mountains
