Kinda wish this had happened on Tignes instead. If they wouldn't be able to finish there the ASO would just label that climb as cursed and never use it again.
Or on the same spot as in 2019, so they still can use the route of 2007.

Pretty ridiculous for the Danish commentators to link Roglič's misfortune to his Tour prep. By all accounts he was in perfect physical condition, and it's not like he hasn't raced a lot in the spring, nor will race a lot after the Tour.
The bad Rai commentators are doing the same, only Garzelli is defenfing his approach.

It’s really impossible to tell. There is one ED rider in the main group and one was just in an attack. It’s form combo of either Powless, Higuita, and Uran I assume. One of them is out the back but I’m not sure which one. The announcer said reports were that Uran had been out but I don’t know if it’s true

Especially because they moaned that it would be a bad example with less racing, as if holding back in Dauphiné is more racing than doing the Vuelta afterwards.
Yeah, it's not like he raced a lot during the spring...
I think the team handled his schedule really well this year, he started a bit later after a hard season at a high level that ended later than usual and had a break so that he wouldn't fade in the Tour. Roglic is always in great shape in his first race after a break, so that approach made sense.

It's so weird that this stage seems to be so wide open with the Pogacar almost completely isolated with 90 km to go yet it still feels like this Tour is a foregone conclusion. I hope I'm wrong but I barely remember a case where I was this certain a particular rider was gonna win a gt this early in the race.

Pogacar needs to watch Vin. Trying to follow Van Aert each attack is going to work him over. Great strategy by the remains of TJV.
