Terrible news for the rules of the road: Sepp Kuss has made the front group. However, with Rogla dropped, he can be unleashed. This is almost a perfect situation for him - there is freedom to attack with no leader there, he won't be expected to work with the other teams that are there and Jumbo's best placed rider not really to be treated (yet...) as a GC threat, he's 40 minutes back and so no need to watch him too closely, and there's some good steep ramps at the Col de la Colombière which will suit him. I'd even suggest he might be a good shout to win the GPM if he is truly let off the leash.

The only problem is that descent down into Le Grand Bornand, which obviously mean this is not a stage to be, well, raced.
