UAE has as many riders there as Ineos and Jumbo and all they're talking about is how inexperienced they are lol.

Media just manufacturing "Pogacar has a bad team" so people keep paying watching..

Nope! Roglic is in sad shape because of a fan and Colbrelli. Thomas is in sad shape because he wasn't paying attention. Big Difference!

Yes, but the original post I quoted was that Thomas wasn’t injured he was just being dropped and a big excuse for him to abandon and go for the Vuelta, which obviously isn’t the case.

Who’s fault it was has no bearing on my post. You either think he’s injured or not?

It’s like me posting about sheep and you quoting me about cows!

Anyway, back to the race...

No clinic implications meant by this, but watching VdP in the favorites group is giving me 1999 vibes. Armstrong in yellow, nobody expecting him to climb with guys like Escartin and Zulle when the race hit Sestrieres, etc...

Not that I think that will happen here but nothing will surprise me today.

I mean there is - and here we go again - a bigger chance of me dating Margot Robbie than Geraint Thomas giving one *** about La Vuelta.

I get your point, but while the race has been really fast and dynamic so far, there haven't been any really difficult climbs today.

Yep. This has been the sort of racing I'd expect him to pretty much flourish in.

The serious business of the day only really gets going soon

Yeah I was kind of joking but watching VDP, it wouldn’t shock me. Again, I have to point out that I am in no way tying MVDP = Armstrong... just do no one takes that observation the wrong way.

So if Roglic wants to finish the Tour, he now has the luxury of joining the grupetto on stages and being able to tail off the back without being in danger of crashing. Just has to make the time limits. Who knows, maybe in week 3, if he's recovered, he can help one of the other Jumbo guys get a stage win or a (relatively) high placing. Same for Thomas and Ineos.

Today's stage shows you can broadcast in the rain. Giro needs to take notes. No picture breakup today, whereas if this were the giro, we'd see very little
Giro doesn't have Tour's resources. That's the problem.
Tour generates a far bigger profit so they're getting all the equipment they need for the entire broadcast.
