I understand the protests, and I generally support them and agree with direct action even as long as it stays non-violent, but at a bicycle race, really? I would guess there are few sports whose fans are generally more open to protecting the environment than cycling.

They should engage in a more culturally acceptable form of protest like throwing bricks and burning cars.
