And now he can wait... once caught to help Bardet.

A stage-win would have meant a lot and Leknessund seems to have of his best days in his career. Why not give him a chance to go for the stage? He was doing really well.

Instead of defending a 9th place on GC... Bardet wasnt alone.
There was no chance for the stage to give.

Bjerg killed tons of GC contenders and McNulty took the rest..
wicked form UAE suddenly shows with their 2 helpers and Jumbo Vista sadly looks far from ideal.

What on earth did UAE feed their riders today
Since its only 4, they had at least more to feed. Maybe they even sacrificed Hirschi's portion since he is a lost cause at this Tour.

But lets see - if Bjerg and McNulty are an indication for Pogacar as well, we are in for a race. Vingegaard obviously also abnormally strong so far.

McNulty has often shown he's a decent climber. This is little different to watching, say, Rohan Dennis at the Giro.

There's being a decent climber and there's blowing Thomas, Quintana, Kuss etc out the back like he has to swat some flies away.

Gaudu caught Quintana no problem. I think he will finish the stage decently well, question is about the gap
