Brutally strong break but only 5 guys in it and it will be kept on a tight leash. Sprint is the most likely outcome - but the break shouldn't be underestimated.

They - the break at least - are off again.

So... what would happen in a situation like this if a rider from the break regretted? I suppose the organisers couldn't prevent him from just waiting for the peloton.

Okay, I have a lot of understanding for the climate protestors (assuming it's them again), but this way they're only annoying people.
Agreed. I would probably spend all the money and energy on something in Paris, commercials the camera's can't avoid, with the amount of CO2 poluted instead of km ridden on the bike.

Well sprinter teams really don't trust that break.
Simply not enough sprinter chances this Tour so they won't take any risks.

unfortunately catastrophic climate change is going to be a lot more inconvenient

Sure, I agree, but what's inconveniencing the Tour going to do, or holding up people in traffic, or trying to get themselves run over in a F1 race.

The only people who can do something are those in charge and the very rich who run the major companies.

Me, you, Matej Mohoric etc can do feck all. Even changing our own habits a bit by buying more sustainable clothes (I do this anyway), using more public instead of private transport is like an ant trying to push over mountains, it ain't going to matter one bit.
