It's amazing how great some breakaway riders' instincts are to jump on the right attack day after day. It's a question of form too I'm sure, but still impressive.

Not sure what Van Aert was trying to achieve. A super fast flat day today is gonna hurt Vingegaard more than Pogacar before tomorrow

I'm guessing it was to get Laporte in the break and then Jumbo can sit in the peleton and do no work for the day, and Laporte can win the stage by doing nothing in the break.

If you watch the race on France TV website, you can choose which of the five camera motos you want to follow. It's great if the producers are showing the break and you want to see what's going on in the peloton.

It is, however, in French.

Can you watch prevoius stages in replay and choose different TV-motos?

Looks like Wout really wants to win this stage. Like REALLY wants to win...

What an opening.

Pedersen or Laporte could conceivably gain the yellow jersey if the break makes it (which right now doesn't look likely).
