Yeah, whenever I get excited about Nairo, he disappoints. I should know it, obviously. But this year I somehow rationalized that after not having a monster climbing performance in preparation (like he had in previous years, before disappointing at the Tour), that he might have timed it better.

Does it suit Pogacar though? His Fleche Wallone exhibition also didn’t look great this year.

Did think of Fleche, although he holds the record on the non-super PDBF and is absolutely insane on 20 minute climbs.

Never really seen Jonas on climbs like that but his best performances have been 40 big minutees so the fact he can match here suggest that the race is on.
