Remco has produced similar W/kg as Vinegaard and Pogacar, so it isn't so sure that any of those two could really get a big gap on him (similar to the tiny gaps in this Tour).

If he had gone to the Tour for the last 3 yrs, people would've been talking about Pogavar vs. Vingegaard vs. Evenepoel as the big three.

(note that he was even better still in San Sebastian and La Vuelta)
Remco producing the same watts than Vingegaard and pogacar doesn't mean everything. Can he produce the same watts of Vingegaard and pogacar after 15 days of race? Can he produce the same watts in the end of the stage after multiple mountains or after so many fast stages like we are seeing? The context is different.
I don't think remco and roglic are at the same level of pogacar and vingegaard. They barely beat Mas and thomas in the last grand tours.

Hindley produced unbeliavable watts in the giro 2020 and 2021 on piancavallo, stelvio, fedaia, but in the the tour he can't do the same, because it's another level, another speed.

Ciccone has been riding for Skjelmose, right? And picking up KOM points was a side benefit, rather than an intention.

I get a tiny pang of sadistic joy, from seeing Alaphilippe getting caught now, after riding another stage like he does not have a brain.

Why oh Why oh Why would UAE give Soler the go ahead to go for the stage when GC is on a knives edge
Because with 6 minutes and a descent where the peloton is taking it easy... there is no chance they will be catching the front group.

A stage-win is still a stage-win. Soler has two rest days to recover after the effort.

Pog has four guys sitting with him, whats is the problem?

Skjelmose was almost dropped on last climb and had been riding on the front a lot too. No idea what Trek is doing.

Why wouldn't he go for the stage win?

He can stop and wait at any time, if necessary, and he knows Van Aert will scream down the descent coming up.
Funny enough it's not what 99% of riders do in a break with a GC man behind.

Soler has history here.

I think some forum debaters have watched too many Chris "always stay with your leader" Horner videos - Soler going for it absolutely makes sense to me ;)
