The entire wheel (incl. the spokes) is pressed in one piece, after which the hub and tire is added.

Apparently Mikkel Bjerg told Rolf Soerensen this morning, that he initially thought he would be going all out for the win, but after testing the route found out if was too hard for him to have a realistic chance.

Obviously he'll still go all out until the 2nd time check, to give Pogacar a time table, but the comment tells us the usual TT suspects may not be top 10 candidates today.

To be determined. Most crashes have been DSM thus far, who are riding on new wheels here. Wheels that were deemed to be a 'secret weapon' by Wielerflits this morning. Unbeknownst to everyone that weapon seems to be directed towards the user.
