That bike race is on my birthday. A Pinot win would be a nice present...

Pog doesn't need to make it all up tomorrow, but if he can't get a big chunk back, game over. Vingo was amazing today, I can't see Pogacar turn the tide. But he'll try. The best spot would be with 4-5 km to go. How much does he still have in the tank, though?
Joyeux anniversaire!

Can only think Jonas wants to blitz the stage?

but ridiculous to drop Van Aert ...unless he is not feeling good today
maybe, but it seemed more panicky to me, for a while only Baarle and Vingegaard was at the front. Also doesn't seem they are in a hurry after they caught back up.

and yeah if you want the stage win, you burn through your doms from worst to best and when Kuss is done Jonas drops the hammer and leaves everyone in the dust, or Pogi clings on and beats him in the sprint.

Honestly if they want to ride for Kuss then they should just let him free on the final climb, he's insane at altitude and monster climbs. Was very good here in 2020.

I guess they are still worried about Pog and Saturday

Vinge wants to kill the race today
only a fool isn't worried about Pog full stop.

But at the same time if Kuss is their only dom left for the last 80 k, then there is no one to get bottles for Vingegaard.

I don't see a reason for Jumbo to change tactics just because they are almost 2min ahead now. If you believe this was the stage to actually crack Pogacar, then go for it.
maybe but if you are already burning Benoot on the first climb, you burn through Kuss long before Loze get's steep.

I don't think that matters, just like last year set the pace very high, and Vingegaard will ride the last 20-25km solo

Mühlberger proving me right that he has great legs. But seriously - whats wrong with Jumbo? Vingegaard wants the stage winner pic in yellow on the queen stage or what are they doing?

Now they’re letting this bigger group go. It was all about Majka it seems.

Edit: even with Bilbao now in front?
