Actual Cannibal.

Hopefully not an actual actual cannibal!

Wow wow WOW!

Haven't seen anything yet but the results list.
But if there were words left from me of my depriciacion of Asgreens current shape, I now thoroughly have to dig up and eat any remains, besides a straight forward unreserved apology, not having any faith in him until just a couple of days ago.

This is 3rd week stuff, man.
And boy oh boy looking at the names and time gaps! Looks like a strong mans monument today.

I bet this stage is a must see, right?

And congrats to Mohoric - in fact I had him on my shortlist of today, so not totally surprised.

But Asgreen again ..wow... stamina and endurance levels cannot be surpressed, apparently.

Yeah we’re used to see him more aggressive and/or attacking but he’s also been sick for almost a week. Maybe not even 100% recovered. With that in mind I saw him work a little, bridge a couple times when they attacked. He dropped everyone off his wheel to these 2.
I get what you say, but as a big fan I’m happy what I saw today. Get some rest and get better untill the Worlds.
I vastly prefer your observation to mine, believe me! :D

Even Mohoric said Asgren was the strongest today.

Yup. If only Mathieu had been set free too. Waste of his participation shepherding Phillipsen around.

I was only able to watch the highlights of yesterday and today, but I wanted to join the discussion for a second to remind everyone why I take flat stages in the third week over flat stages in the first two weeks any day. The route got sh*t on so badly for having three sprint stages in the third week but turns out the route design worked brilliantly.

If the Col de la Loze stage was stage 20 and we had additional flat stages before the Alps this route would have been so much worse. So after all the complaining I think it's only fair to also give the ASO some credit for doing this the right way. Can't tell you how often I've felt vindicated in my opinion that the Tour route was better than the Giro route over the past weeks.

Congrats to Mohoric & Bahrain on the win (just!) - crazy speed considering the lumpy course. Not sure why Ben O'Connor was there, but hopefully he enjoyed himself.
My guess is that O’Connor has not been able to make mark on the race, and certainly would be disappointed in his own performance, that when the opportunity arose to do something (even knowing the unlikelihood of success) he jumped on it. Maybe it was one the 1st days his legs felt good and decided, “f#ck it, I’m going to ride today”

A neutral bike is a very temporary solution, so while you might be able to make do with a too small bike for 10 minutes until a team car comes round, no such like with a small shoe if you have feet the size of Luxembourg. I think Jens Voigt once nearly murdered himself down a mountain on a kid's bike after he had totalled his.
spd slides.

Please stop coming up with problems and focus on solutions.

Norwegian VG writes about Uno-X:

"Uno-X took responsibility and was the team that went to the front to chase the break at the front, but in the end all four Uno-X riders were dropped.

- I think they were a bit too eager, but we have to applaud them for adding colour to a stage, says TV 2's cycling expert Thor Hushovd."

They also write that Tiller got a chain problem.

I still have the feeling that the team might have used the wrong guys to do the chasing. Abrahamsen and Charmig could have gone in breakaways instead.

That's a little of what I'm getting at though; Mads was super aggressive today, off the front early and attacking many times, and still had the juice to get 5th.
Seemed very agressive but they would not let him go and he did not have the legs to make it alone. Should have gone with Asgreens move ;) Looked like very good training for the worlds for Denmark. Both Mads Pedersen and Asgreen looks strong, but at that day it is not the third week of a race.
