They completely blocked the road... I wonder when UCI is actually going to do something about it. It's against the rules.

That being said, pretty funny that Alpecin seems mad about it lmao

This looks like a manageable breakaway.

Are you joking? They will be never brought back - if the race for the podium gets kicked off because of crosswinds.

Who should even pull in the peleton? Other then Alepcin and Jayco and they are toast.

what a fail by EF. You have a stage like this, you have no gc, you have won no stages, and you have poweless, Bettiol, cort, and 2 others. and you get nobody on the break? what are they doing in that team?

I mean, the peloton will let it go and manage the distance.

I don't think so. The sprinty teams will not make the same mistake two days in a row.
Mate, nobody is going to chase this. We'll see a few teams for 10 minutes like Israel and Uno-X as form of punishment because they missed the break and that's it. DSM and Jayco won't make the same mistake again, Alpecin is cooked. And that's without looking at the 9 ahead, who are way too good to be brought back by any team.

But today's break is super strong and Alpecin and Jayco quite on the limits I would say.
One reason why yesterday's break worked so well was their almost perfect cooperation. It almost looked like the 4-man 100K team time trials that were always won by the soviets or East Germany. It's much harder to organize it that perfectly in a bigger group.

Kasper Asgreen said they didn't say a word to each other. They knew the job and worked together all the way to the line.

yeah so a bunch of c level teams can't take the L so they like to loose to other riders and get 15th in the end

You are kinda right. Yesterday all in the break were happy with a sprint finish. There are guys in this one who will try to get away or try and force Trentin and Pedersen to take a bigger share of the workload.

If the peloton can stay close enough, they might capitalize on the situation if it gets too tactical up front.

I am still backing the break though, too few sprinters teams left with too few matches to burn. Unless MVP goes nuts.
