Jumbo having two separate objectives is really going to cost them I feel. Vingegaard isn't so far ahead of Pogacar that you can afford be wasting your team on trying to get wins for Van Aert. It's actually a negative as it ends up with Pogacar getting bonus seconds.

Chapeau, Lafay and Cofidis! Thought he might have started the sprint a bit too early but he got the job done. And Wout is spitting nails...

Overall a fun stage today.

WVA should have attacked himself. Jumbo had the numbers, everyone expected him to go for a sprint, would have taken them by surprise, etc.

But no.

Marvelous win by lefay!

What surprises me is just how late Van Aert started his sprint. He might not have won in a long sprint either, but if you have to catch someone a few seconds up the road that's simply a risk you must take.
It looked like he was waiting for Kelderman to drag him closer, but Kelderman just didn't have it.

Pog almost beat WvA on the sprint!

If WvA had closed the gap people would complain that he did a leadout for Pogi. He is selfish because he is going for stage wins and gifts bonus seconds to Pogi. He lacks killer instinct because he gifts WT wins to teammates.
No matter what happens. People will find a reason to complain.

Why the flying hell does Adam Blythe feel sorry for Wout van Aert there because nobody would cooperate with Jumbo, when everybody with eyes in their head knows that van Aert was the best sprinter there and Jumbo had the most riders and that's precisely WHY nobody would work with them?

The man is an absolute tool, it's a wonder he's figured out how to breathe through his nose.

I‘m pretty sure he only breathes through his mouth

Let Bilbao up the road till the last km. It’s 2 against 1. Now fresher riders attack immediately. Or Wout should’ve went when he caught Pidcock. Belgian media angry towards Vingegaard makes me laugh so hard, expecting him to work everyday for a Wout victory.
