Interesting that Jumbo closed down the break when Trentin was in there.

Rolf Soerensen saying it's because UAE could use that as an alibi to not work all day, and Jumbo wants UAE to work.

Wouldn't Jumbo have been better off with a break win?

Low chance of stage win vs high chance of Pogacar getting more bonus seconds

I don't think Jumbo is that bothered with bonus seconds.

If the Tour is won on bonus seconds, they know Pogacar will win anyway.

I think they want him - and his team - to repeat their mistakes from last year, where they worked hard the first 10 days, and then all faded in the last part of the race.

I agree. I don't think Jumbo-Vingo are too concerned about bonus seconds, or even about Adam Yates. Jonas will stick close to Pog. That's the game.

We drove through the Basque country a month ago. Such a beautiful place.

Laengen and Berg are here for such stages, they will not use all the manpower

Wout is the main favourite for the stage.
And he will have numerous options in this Tour, but the most important objective is winning the overall.

The team rode for him yesterday. I don't think they should do that every time he thinks that he can win.
