There is no serious descent left, he's not getting into any danger by attacking on a climb an then just ride on to win the stage. I am a bit surprised he doesn't just do that, because he's clearly the strongest and Pogacar just bonked a few days ago, so probably if he tries once he's gone. Other than that he can try to attack him more than once and he also easily wins the stage. This would have seemed a very easy win to take.
