Smart of Pedersen going as deep as he did yesterday? Surely his team knew that UAE would drive hard on the last climb. Or is it just a sign that they don't think he stands much of a chance in more pure sprint stages?
He was positioning his leaders on the climb, so he couldn't just sit up like the other sprinters did. He probably also wanted to test himself, but I don't think he expected to be able to stay with the best (at least no when they were going hard on the climb). But if he wants to have any chance of winning the green jersey, getting some extra points yesterday could have been quite important since he probably won't be the fastest in the bunch sprints.

maybe it's the climate change terrorists laying the tacks down? they seem to be more fanatical in Europe about their crusade.

no, they like to make sure their faces are seen on the telly.

& Just stop oil make sure they don't do anything that would cause injury or permanent damage. They're a nuisance & not a threat to anyone's well being.

It's too bad none of the teams hammered that little climb a while ago. It wasn't enough to shatter the field but perhaps enough to drop or at least hurt guys like Jakobsen.
