Still can't believe they let Hindley get such a big lead before reacting let alone watching him go up the road in a break. After all he is a Giro winner.................
UAE should have let it go out so Jumbo has to respond honestly. With a bigger lead the others in the break would help more.

I don't think Asgreen should contribute in that chasing group with his team leader up in front. Without Powless and Guerreiro there, Alaphilippe might get a free run at the KOM points

Wout in the break. It seems JV want to decide the race today. Gonna be epic, earth-shattering performance is upon us, methinks.

It's in everyone of the first group's favour to not let the Powless group bridge, but it seems the second group will make it.

If EF’s goal is to get Powless back in polka dot, you would think they’d tell Shaw to drop back and help him bridge the gap.

Terrible break for anyone other than Jumbo
Why? Bora should like this. They never going to get a break without a Jumbo rider and would waste all energy chasing like mad.
They should now just sit up completely. Give this break 15 minutes, no one is threatening for GC and it gives Vingegaard slightly less incentive to attack because no stage win and bonus seconds. Of course WVA after Tourmalet is a threat but it's still a big risk for Vingegaard to attack on Tourmalet.

Wout for the stage if the break has more than 5 minutes when they enter Tourmalet?
Last climb should suit him pretty well. Tourmalet might be a bit heavy on Wout though, and maybe he has order to lead-out Vingegaard on the last climb. Powless could also be a tough cookie for him.

If they give the break enough leeway, which I just can't imagine, it will be Vingegaard bridging up to Van Aert on Tourmalet, you can be pretty sure of that.

Not on Tourmalet but past it. WVA must reach the top (or at least last 2 km of the climb) before Vinge, otherwise he will slow the Dane down.

Gap has pretty much stabilized now... at just under 3 minutes.

Thats not a lot for the break. Winner is in the peloton, if they dont get more time.
