Jumbo wants to get rid of a bunch of Bora and maybe UAE riders on d'Aspin - to set up a Tourmalet attack :)

They are making this race hard. They are going to put their rivals to the test.

Maybe they sense that Pog is not at his best, and the time is now to take it to him, not later, when he rides into form. They also want to put peak Jai Hindley to the test.

This could be good!
How is Wout contributing to making it hard??? Hard for who? THe guys in the break?

wtf is going on. I was defending Wout yesterday, but what, is he going to drill it to the lower slopes of the tourmalet now and then stop.
He has zero chance of helping on Tourmalet at this rate
He's obviously being told what to do. He has no illusions about winning the stage, lol.

Yeah, I get that, but still it looks a bit "out of place"

In German GCN Bernie Eisel is wondering as well and, rather jokingly, said he thinks WvA is going to ride for a different team next year...

Jumbo is making the race hard and shedding UAE riders.

For Wout, I'm guessing Jonas will catch him on the climb the Tourmalet. Wout and Sepptimus will be a 1-2 punch to launch Jonas. That's just a guess.

JV: to drill or not to drill? Going hard for longer will tire Pogacar more but increases the risk of catching Wout too soon.
