Wow, what a demonic stage. So, you are telling me that there's a chance?
If they put just col de vars and col de la bonette with the finish in jausiers or barcelonette, i will be happy "just" with that.

What, there's not another climb you can squeeze in between Ceyolle and Bonnette? So, you are telling me that there's a chance?
In the link it says Gap - Barcelonnette via Bonette. The only viable way of doing that stage would have to be to pave the section between Moutiere and Bonette and loop back north that way. An other way of doing that stage would probably be too long.View: https://twitter.com/ammattipyoraily/status/1686499140165906432
Some information that i talked.

Well, they have done/paved Portet, Spandelles and Loze the last few years. So I would assume that re-paving Moutiere and renovating and paving that section between Moutiere and Bonette is absolutely viable.Moutiere would be amazing.
But I will admit I haven't talked about it enough to claim to have memed it into happening.
I guess it would not have any significant climbs before Bonette? Col de Vars would make it ~200km. It's doable but I think the current philosophy would be "eh Bonette-Moutiere is enough"
To my knowledge, most of Moutiere is paved and it's only a small section towards the Bonette junction? Bonette-Moutiere combo just seems too good to be true to me.Well, they have done/paved Portet, Spandelles and Loze the last few years. I on the other hand would also be quite satisfied if they did Cayolle followed by Bonette.
So, you are telling me that there's a chance?
Yes, I will settle for this:I hope you can be satisfied by less![]()
So we'll have to settle for this then: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/43902732
There's your French version of the Gamoniteiro rumour that's never happenning. To my knowledge, most of Moutiere is paved and it's only a small section towards the Bonette junction? Bonette-Moutiere combo just seems too good to be true to me.
But in general I am a big fan of using the Alps Maritime more and better
Vars, Bonette, Moutiere-Bonnete, finish on Auron. What thats Netserk, Vars, Bonnette, Moutiere and Pra Loup or Auron?
Looking at these rumours, chances are this will be the hardest 5 last days ever in a GT. I can barely see how it won't be. Jumbo and Jonas' tactic will be quite clear - lose as little time as possible going into the last 5 days.
Vars, Bonette, Moutiere-Bonnete, finish on Auron.
I will be happy just with vars and bonette.I guess a realistic option if you skipp Moutiere.
So just Vars, Bonette, Auron.
That one was already short in its full length. But when the standard stage is shorter, the short stages must become even shorter. We'll be happy with half of a 2016 Giro stage.
So how do these mountainous stages make it more "Remco friendly"?Where's the 100 km of TT-ing?
Are you sure that remco gets a lead even with a TT in week 1 or 2?With this route, I expect at least a 30 km rather flat ITT similar to 2021 in week 1 or 2. I think Prudhomme wanna cater to Remco, and I also think (or hopes) he knows it will actually make for a better race if Remco gets a lead, even if Pogacar and Vingegaard are also deadly in a GT TT
