I don't think that is something you would give away for free in an interview. The amount he was eating after the stage is telling, but perhaps all riders do that and we never see it?
Riders frequently explain why they had a bad day in post-race interviews.

I'm sure we'll hear something about this from the team DS or other sources.

So many people today crying about Evenepoel. You WISH you had balls as big as his.

If Remco has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Remco has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Remco has only one fan then that is me. If Remco has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Remco, then I am against the world.
Are you houtdffan's brother or sister?

Love this forum.....everyone is a terrible wheelsucker until you are advocating it for your favourite ...then its wise :p
Welcome to cycling.

But today it wasn’t wise for Vingo after he came back. Although he worked together and didn’t wheelsuck.

One of the most incredible stages I have ever seen. Pogacar was more tired than Vingegaard in the end. Evenepoel fought like a lion and kept the podium alive. Roglic had another misfortune, but I think he was on the limit and that's when mistakes happen.

Incredible how the same exact 40 kilometers as today could give this result 8 years ago:

It's a different sport.
To be fair, the 2016 Tour was one of the lowest points of the Sky era.

Watched it again. They entered the corner not even 1 second apart.
Remco brakes way earlier than Roglic. As seen in some corners before. Maybe he just went to hard and couldn’t brake in time so it looked closer.

But I think they would went to the line together. A shame he crashed.

Come on, Roman Kreuziger dropping out of the top 10, Peter Sagan losing Yellow, Alberto Contador losing time on the other GC riders. Tinkoff lost it all that day. Spectacle. :p

No, they were within one second the whole section up to that corner as well. Because they are going downhill the gap between the two just seems to be way larger than it actually is time-wise.

This was fantastic and tadej vs Jonas is the best thing I have watched in cycling, so happy its Not a foregone conclusion this year and remco and roglic are also in the mix. I dont like all the pettiness from the fan camps, but I guess it adds spice!

Pogacar said in his interview post race that his training is more suited for the Pyrenees (longer climbs).

:confused2:

It does make sense, since that has been his weakness against Vingegaard.

Whether it makes a difference remains to be seen, especially as we don't yet know if Vingegaard has retained his recovery ability over 3 weeks.

Was it really? 2012 and 2017 were not much better (they scored lower in our great rate the Grand Tours game).
2012 was the single lowest point, don’t think many people will argue against that

2017 had a horrific route that didn’t leave anywhere near enough opportunity to exploit the moments where Froome showed clear weakness, if you simulate the same route with the 2016 and 2017 fields the latter should IMO produce the better racing.
