That's what I mean. They should not make a race of it today. They should just let a break go and fight for it. There won't be any decisive changes in GC today anyway, the hills are not long enough at the end so all favourites will finish together 99% of the time. Just let others fight for the stage and leave the GC fight for the harder stages.
They might. But the breakaway without Visma domestiques.

Me and the other teams in the peloton it seems.
This is bike racing. Visma is trying to defend themselves against UAE, UAE are trying to not make that possible. This is a very hard stage. Just because it isnt raced in the Pyrenees and Alps doesn't mean it shouldnt be raced properly.

One of the only times on this forum where Im genuinely perplexed. Your opinion actually is that the biggest riders SHOULD NOT try to do anything and just roll through the stage. Okay.

Will be interesting to see what riders have left in the tank at the end of the hard stage today, this fight for the break could go on for a long time

For what other teams Visma domestiques in the break are relevant, other than UAE?

Definitely long range action alert. Either JV wants to be prepared in case Pog or Remco attack or Vingo himself wants to have help when he goes thermonuclear!

The second option (if successful) would be recipe for legendary stage. Turning tables.

No need for Wellens to chase some of these benign moves, don't think Jake Stewart and Stevie Williams will be in the GC mix at the end of the day.

Vingo wont stick to wheels all the time. He will have to put the hammer down at some point. Pyrenees or Alps are more obvious places to do it but you never know 100%, this is hard racing. Whatever happens, hopefully the stage will deliver!

I'm surprised that UAE insists in closing down moves and not in letting a move go with one of their riders.

Break needs to go othwrwise no one will challenge UAE. They will put the hammer with 100 km to go
