You would think that the front group will be dysfunctional at one point...already more passengers there. In 10-15 kms if it stays at a minute some riders will be probably a bit bit more chill in the break because they know they can't keep that up against the peleton

EF with three riders should have two of them sit in the middle of the group together and then let a gap go in a bend. You don't even have to attack to initiate hostilities up front.

It was a great try but the elastic won't snap, think it's time for him to drop back and let the gap balloon to try and salvage some good will at this point, it's just going to come back if Yates stays there.

But Lemmen, Geschke, the Arkea guys, the Ag2r guys, Thomas, Turner and 10 other guys don't have to win the stage in the end. If the teams stay committed there are easily 20 domestiques that can pull all day long

Also Wanty will ride at some point if the stage win looks close. Maybe also Bora for van Poppel because what else have they left other then that...

In the short term it looks good for them, but isn't making the race harder what Visma want to do in the longer term? And it's not really Visma having to work on the front of the peloton right now...

Maybe, but at a certain point Cofidis, Arkea, Decathlon might just say f*ck it. It's over for us. Then you have just 3 Teams chasing.
