Astana and Lotto might try and bring the break back, maybe even Cofidis.

Yeah just definitely not about Lotto and Cofidis. This downhill sprint doesn't suit De Lie or Coquard (well they should never control honestly). Lotto and Cofidis tried yesterday already to get someone in the break, they're definitely trying today again.

Jayco or even Arkea who will have some confidence after yesterday might help Alpecin tho.

I think the organizers want a lot of GC riders to crash out, there is no other reason for creating such stage profiles. Why they want this, I don't know.

The route builder who designs these bad stages replies (reposted from Roglic thread):

Course builder snaps back over safety issue: "Remove obstacle? 100,000 euros for 5 seconds of racing"

Very sad to see Primož out of the Tour.

In his replay, Lutsenko causes the crash because he rides against the curb and falls down. Clearly, the road furniture could have been marked better. But it also looks a little bit like Primož pilot error or even a mechanical problem because it appears as if he does not brake as he hits the bike in front of him. The bike in front and in back of him slow down, but Primož does not.
