Very sad to see Primož out of the Tour.

In his replay, Lutsenko causes the crash because he rides against the curb and falls down. Clearly, the road furniture could have been marked better. But it also looks a little bit like Primož pilot error or even a mechanical problem because it appears as if he does not brake as he hits the bike in front of him. The bike in front and in back of him slow down, but Primož does not.

I think enough sporting integrity remains that you have to be the best of the lucky, rather than merely the luckiest of the best, to win.

just about every sporting event has an element of luck to it.

for all the ideas that "you have to be lucky to win", who was the last Tour de France winner who "lucked" into it?

Reasons for Roglic out of the last 3 TDFs:
  • Colbrelli bodychecking him into gravel
  • Hay bale
  • Lutsenko throwing himself under his wheel
It was only last year that he didn't do the TDF, that he also had his best GTs, winning the Giro and podium at the Vuelta.

Girmay on his own near the front of the peloton. Probably looking out for Philipsen if he tries to join the break.
