Not so many teams in the peloton that should ride. Intermache for Girmay, Decathlon for Gall, INEOS for Rodriguez. But Alpecin has MvdP up the road, Astana Ballerini, De Lie himself is up, UAE, Visma, and Soudal have their leaders also on the attack.

Even Ackermann is in the 2nd group.

if the Ineos and Visma/MJ groups come together there's a good chance they sit up for a bit

It was a pretty good try from Visma to try and catch them out but should've stopped when Pogacar/Evenepoel were wise to it.
