I thought the second Lotto rider might have been Vanhoucke.

They will have 3 riders in a group of 20 or so, but none of their climbers lmao. They did good but with the wrong rider basically. Tbf, hard to do it with Vanhoucke, he doesn't really have the power, and they tried earlier with Van Gils.

What do all those names on the road signify? I have sound-on for the Giro, so didn't hear the explanation.
I think you got your answer in one of your posts here :)But yes first historical name droppings at the start of the ramt up Avenue Napolen Bonaparte gave me chills!
Apart from that, I'm a bit dissapointed ASO didn't plan to take the entire beautiful temporary Circuit de Pau as a starter to départ. And ofc commentators didn't mention this detail with a single word, despite the riders standing almost in front of the interim pits. Though fairly clear reference from ASO's side, but of course also requires more than 5% interest in that sport of which I've followed just as intense since kids age too. Just a shame it's being passed over. Like Nogaro the other day.

I looked at the prize money so far in the tour and AG2R are dead last with only €5k won. Very different situation than their entire season so far. Best is Intermarch with €70k+
