Beautiful work from Jorgenson.. what a pull... the only way to attack the stage.. make it hard, take responsibility and see if you can put some wear on Pogacar, as otherwise United Arabs would just cruise the stage and Pogacar make his move, and still be mano-o-mano.
Well played, . Pogacar is simply better at this part in the Tour (like I also think he was the previous years in the first half) while Vingegaard was significant stronger in the 3 week.

But what a joy that Vingegaard is even here, and giving us a Tour de France with some GC excitement, as otherwise many would have claimed... its only because Vingegaard ain't here, that Pogocar looks this good, and that wouldn't be fair, with a Pogacar being so outstanding.
Had my doubts, if Vingeaard would do the Tour de France, - looking at how messed & fractured his body/lungs were a couple of months back.

I admit that I have only watched mostly the Grand Tours this year, but can someone explain what is Derek Gee doing inside the top10 of TDF?

This was one for the ages.

Might be the best performance we will ever see.

What was the Pantani stage like? Longer, harder , third week? Can we even give him a minutes leeway with those factors lol
Pantani's one was in 98. Similar stage. It came as the first mountain top finish in the race. The previous day they had four big climbs with a descent finish off the Peyresourde.

Coming off a double too, that’s an extremely rare comparison. Usually it would be a one grand tour comparison

Honestly think ASO may choose to deliberately avoid Alpe and Ventoux for exactly this reason. It's the perfect recipe to take the clinic talk back into the non-cycling media.
They better do Alpe d'Huez like in Dauphiné 2017 next time it features. After Galibier.
