Been too busy reading hype about Cîme de la Bonette du Restefond climb that, but a symptom, not only on this forum. I dunno what ppl expected with stage designs as those and present state of affairs Pogi/UAE vs. Jonas/Visma vs. Remco/QS? Nothing quite has surprised me yet, except UAE maybe fiddling a tad more than I'd expected, but still clever tactics.Bonnette was hyped all year and this is what we got![]()
No reason for Pogi to do anything today, but Remco could really attack given all the signs Visma are giving about Vingegaard's current level.
I am reading this forum and and see that some people were expecting an attack in La Bonette? are you serious? that is suicide in the way the GC is today. Now that sounds good for my videogame but not realistic for the race.
UAE/Pog trying to eat everything makes it fairly meaningless these days? Just a matter of luck if you get it right on the few days when they let things go.Being KoM with 2 stages to go, and nearly half your points are from one climb is just stupid.
Yeah, I do not think his family loves him too too much today. Probably that...This is one of those days where the lack of long-range action has less to do with the route, and more to do with Vingegaard either being scared to attack because UAE are so much stronger than Visma, or (more probably) simply not having the legs to do so.
The fantastic breathtaking chase of the yellow jersey group by one French hero in the Alps.
Agree, but I think UAE have played it well by not chasing hard and keeping a lot of numbers in the group. Made an attack very difficult for Vingegaard. This is one of those days where the lack of long-range action has less to do with the route, and more to do with Vingegaard either being scared to attack because UAE are so much stronger than Visma, or (more probably) simply not having the legs to do so.
Exactly right, Vingegaard attacking might be great for us the viewers on our sofas, but from his and Vismas point of view it would be kamikaze stuff unless he is confident of dropping Pogacar. And there has been no evidence during the last 3 weeks that he is capable of doing this, least of all with him surrounded by 4 mountain doms.I am reading this forum and and see that some people were expecting an attack in La Bonette? are you serious? that is suicide in the way the GC is today. Carapaz 20 points ahead of Pogacar for KOM.

Plus, I think both Kelderman and Jorgensen in the break was an error. Nobody there to make it even vaguely hard for Vingegaard.
Pogacar outclimbed the break by double this gap on Beille, if he wants the stage he will get it.Break to take
