Against Carapaz? It all depends on his form I guess,, but no way I’d bet against Richie if the break survives.Visma gave up winning the TDF
Good chance of winning today as the gap continues to grow. Jorgenson may be the favorite to win today
So an Arkea Guy, a Dane, a Pog and a Pig?Visma are riding for Pig not to win the stage. The pair up front are just teeing up the Arkea guy and the Dane will blow massively.
I'm guessing Yates for the win, Carapaz seemed energetic yesterday.
I dont think Pogacar will catch 4 minutes on Carapaz.
With stages like today you cannot bet on action but if there is then the stage design have a potential to make it epic. For me what happend on Bonette was the most likely outcome but if Vingegaard had felt good and sensed an opportunity they atleast would have tried. For instance there was action on CdFere before Alpe 2015 even if it went back altogether as expected in the valley.Been too busy reading hype about Cîme de la Bonette du Restefond climb that, but a symptom, not only on this forum. I dunno what ppl expected with stage designs as those and present state of affairs Pogi/UAE vs. Jonas/Visma vs. Remco/QS? Nothing quite has surprised me yet, except UAE maybe fiddling a tad more than I'd expected, but still clever tactics.
Apart from that almost Gordian knot to untie for Visma, if they should have had it all with a coup and believed that Jonas could punch away from Pogi from far out up La Bonette with the two strongest riders to pull him full gas to the bottom of the final climb. That might have been the logics last year, or before Jonas' crash (or rather before we knew about Pogi's present building on his strength, stamina and awareness of staying cold on a hot day).
That would have been 2001Isola 2000. I guess that refers to the altitude? Or was it a "futuristic" name they gave it in the 60s?
I would be so happy for the guy, but I fear he somehow will find a way to crash while going uphill.Plz let Kelderman win!
Kamikaze or not, how else is he gonna win the Tour?Exactly right, Vingegaard attacking might be great for us the viewers on our sofas, but from his and Vismas point of view it would be kamikaze stuff unless he is confident of dropping Pogacar. And there has been no evidence during the last 3 weeks that he is capable of doing this, least of all with him surrounded by 4 mountain doms.
The FrenchSomeone explain how Pla D’Adet was classified as an HC while Isola 2000 was classified as a 1st category.
