Totally agree. Jonas's stage 11 win was epic--probably the best stage of this year's TDF.No way Jonas is humiliated given his comeback. On the contrary, his Tour has been heroic.

Switched off when he knew the stage was gone probably. He's not racing for a top 20. Obviously Hasn't got the form he had in last year's Tour where he finished in the top 10 even with back issues.Too bad Hindley cracked.
Half the top 10 are from the same team..............Honestly Gee at 8th on GC is more shocking than anything these freaks at the front are doing.
What a fight to join the breakaway it will be. 😲Such a nice guy Pogi, he said he will let the breakaway win tomorrow. How can you not love him?
This time last week Jonas was bookies favourite.Totally agree. Jonas's stage 11 win was epic--probably the best stage of this year's TDF.
You misspelled AlmeidaUAE must now win the Vuelta with Ayuso to get even with VLAB.
They should send Yates/Soler in the break 😅Such a nice guy Pogi, he said he will let the breakaway win tomorrow. How can you not love him?
agreed. He did better than most believed, certainly better than I did. There was a stage or two when it looked like he may actually be better than Pogacar, but that was simply not realistic. No way Jonas is humiliated given his comeback. On the contrary, his Tour has been heroic.
My body is ready
Their logic is that having a few guys winning everything and do battle against each other will draw in a casual audience because it doesn't require the same attention-span and can be condensed into 5 minute YouTube shorts and Netflix documentaries. The problem is that it isn't the reason a lot of us posting here watch, cycling historically has been a long-form sport that rewarded engagement and attention to detail with its massive pool of potential winners and this is what we became accustomed to, the assumption we worked under.Very different environment when it comes to sport and entertainment now than it was 40-50 years ago. Cycling clearly has an eye on a more casual audience (hence the Netflix series) like F1 did. F1 suffered to capitalise that more than it did cos of Max and RB's dominance (this season is a lot more competitive at least). Cycling is even less friendly for casuals so having it be Pogacar turns up, he wins, is a bit damaging imo (same for the classics with what VdP does).
It's probably been one of the worst seasons for competitiveness i've seen and i'm watching it nearly 30 years. At least even in the Lance years, it was just the Tour, not multiple races being shat on by 2 riders.
Bookwalter said that he saw signs along the parcours that read, "I'm dead. I'm gone."
I'm sure that was some fuel for Tadej's domination.
Considering what happened to him before the Tour, he's over achieving but obviously he knows that this is the best he can do and Pogacar is on another level. Might have been some physical distress as well.Pogacar on the warm down bike having a chat. Vinge crying and can barely stand. Cycling can be brutal
Wondering about Ayuso's thought here. They should send Yates/Soler in the break 😅
I didn’t know they did. What happened?TBH he is probably aware how some Visma team members ridiculed him during 17th stage of 2023 edition blow out.
Isaac Del Toro!!!UAE must now win the Vuelta with Ayuso to get even with VLAB.

I don't think the Tour de France GC, something which has been won multiple times in a row at multiple points, is something that has a "massive pool of potential winners" op. eras like 06-11 are not exactly common.Their logic is that having a few guys winning everything and do battle against each other will draw in a casual audience because it doesn't require the same attention-span and can be condensed into 5 minute YouTube shorts and Netflix documentaries. Alarcón was robbed of his results, but the legend will live on.He can have as many core temperature devices as he wants, Peak-Alarcon would still cook Pogacar in his favoured 45 degree heat.
Was the smile ridicule? That would be a rare gesture in professional cycling. I would like to see photographic evidence.I forgot which one it was but he was riding around him with smile and then past him when he was battling with climb totally blown. I am sure Pog remembers
