Ineos said they would be aggressive in this tour. We have heard Pidcock saying he would go for it today.
But I guess helping UAE to chase and catch the break could lead to CRod and Bernal losing bonus seconds to Pog and Rogla. And maybe more important not to let that happen then going for the win with Pidcock.

Why is the onus on Roglic to force his team to work? He's not the favorite for the stage, nor for the overall race
Huh?

A lot of people have Roglic as a favorite for this stage and the race.

He has the record on this climb? He has won the race that actually features this climb multiple times. He should fancy his chances very much here or what is he scared of?

Cote de Gallisterna very difficult, can't see the break making it over the top in-tact and with this gap.

Once the gap tumbles a bit then the other teams will get interested.

i think these are the kinds of comments ASO reads whenever they think of making a stage longer than 175k

Wouldn't be difficult to bring this back at all, the doomerism at this point is premature.
It started with an "it's over" goof, which was taken seriously and the forum descended into depression. Now it looks like the break could easily be caught if Bora weren't cowards.

if you are riding aggressively you ride aggressively
Otherwise stop talking about it...every scenario has the risk of losing bonus seconds to the big 4

There is no optimal scenario....Bardet showed yesterday what aggressive riding is ...its not sitting back and 'doing the calculation'

If he is not a favourite for this stage, what will he do something? This is the type of stage, he can gain time on his rivals.
if he is a favorite for the race, he can also potentially gain time on his rivals, on the actual GC stages, and ITTs
