I guess if he did Pogacar might gift him today. What comes around goes around that people complain about not gifting it to Vingegaard based on sympati that he got manhandled entire tour by a superior rider is not the way.

If he earned it in Pogacar eyes by participating himself earlier when he wanted it too òn gravel stage then fair game, this now is sour grapes just in pure taste when they wouldnt lift a finger with him on gravel stage 2v1 even. And now he should gift them beacuse of what reason?

Hard to please everyone. If I would be in his place I would also try to get closer to 2nd after what I saw yesterday. It turned out that Vinge is still strong enough.

Totally agree with this. If he sits back and doesn't try anything then you have the idiots who will come at him with the 'no balls' thing. Can't please everyone, glad to see he tried. That said, as great as he is riding this Tour (and it's definitely a leap forward for him) he is still a very long ways off the top two. Hoping he can close that up in the coming seasons but it's a pretty big gap at the moment...

Why? Is this some reactionary boy's don't cry take? I honestly don't understand the problem with it. Also they are very tired, that makes it generally harder to controll emotions, even if you wanted to. I'm happy I see more people cry openly, as it's actually pretty healthy and good for the soul.

I have a feeling that you'd be crying if you were forced to finish any mountain stage in the Tour within the time limit. Especially after 3 weeks. But it's just as easy to change the channel and return to hard-edged sports where there seldom is crying like golf....or more golf.
Maybe some more golf?

I think he said something to the extent that he kinda hoped Pogi would gift him the stage, but would have done the same as Pogacar did in his place.
So I don't think he would have been offended. But I think it's also strange to expect Pogacar not to contest the stage just because he already won a lot. No one ever makes this argument for sprinters, ever.

Soudal forced the victory into Pogacar's hands. It does indeed seem as though Pog was content letting the break win. However, due to Soudal upping the tempo the break was reeled in. Carapez wins today if not for Soudals aggressive riding.

you are neglecting the watts difference that the Bianchi jersey provides, due to it being imbued with at least 0.8 w/kg of pure cyclismo
