Everyone from Almeida downwards in the break. 17 minutes down should be enough for the podium boys to let them go, yeah?
I think Pog and Vingo will be happy for an easier day. It would depend if Remco wants to give it a dig at some point, so Vingo has to react. Otherwise, a coffee ride apart from the 138 riders in the break.
Pog has been as expected during this race, he's the top dog. Vingo has done amazingly well, considering his prep after the nasty crash he had, and should be super proud of his second. Remco has exceeded my expectations against top competition. He's done really well throughout the Tour, regardless if he is the right weight or not. Big well done. (I hope it all doesn't come crashing down today LOL).
I hope Carapaz manages to claim the Polka Dots, he's super in the mountains when on form.
I think Remco really wants to win tomorrow, I can’t see him risking that. I think top 3 will take it easy today. Remco might allow Landa some free reign to try and dislodge Almeida as Almeida will gut him in the TT

So will Pogacar, and I would honestly give the edge to Pogacar due to the technical descent which Pogacar knows inside out

I think it's far from guaranteed that Almeida would take much (if any) time from Landa in the TT. It's stage 21 and has a profile with more up and down than flat. It will be a case of who has the most left in the tank.

Going to see some top 10 guys in the break today I hope, like Loze last year where they just let it go

Looking pretty much forward to the game "I'll catch your wheel" between Remco and Vingo. Vingo is doomed if Remco win this one.

I'm hoping the event starts soon enough so he won't be dropped by the professional riders.
The stage absolutely explodes and they keep the one camera on the white knight pedalling furiously on the flat in his lowest gear.
(I'm glad we're able to salvage something from this tour.)

Remarkable statistic: seven places in the top 9 are occupied by the three strongest teams. There's not much left for the others.
Which leads nicely to an article at https://velo.outsideonline.com/road...er-teams-are-transforming-the-tour-de-france/
“To win the Tour de France you need to have a budget of 50 million euro to 60 million euro,” Cofidis boss Cedric Vasseur told Velo. “If you want to have a chance to sign those riders like Pogačar and Vingegaard, and to have the domestiques and staff around to make that happen, anything under 50 million, there is no chance.”

i am going to be dissapointed with anything less than an hour for the break to successfully go, though i have a feeling that the uphill start will make that unlikely

I wonder how Pog would have got on, riding on team Cofidis this Tour. I reckon he still would have won the thing.
