So ok, hmmm...ready for subs on my Tour manager team for Le Grand Finale....hmm...quite a puzzle, who should I choose between Bini, Jasper, Kristoff, Coquard, Ackerman, Cav & Renshaw? hmm...
Oh feck it. Time to enjoy family, a cozy coffee ride and sunny weather. I can cope standing out as a sore looser with my picks of yesterday as of Pogi, Remco, Vingo, Almeida, Jorgenson and Gee...

...oh wait, what did you say? It's NOT Champs Élyssées?

Life is simple on a sunday morning :)

I definitely think you should pick Renshaw.

I guess we won't see a fully yellow Colango, or the champagne drinking.

Pogačar, Vingegaard and Remco are all strong candidates for this but all of them have something to lose. Pogačar can lose the Tour and the chance of riding the Olympics if he crashes, Remco can lose the podium and the chance of riding the Olympics and Vingegaard is actually the one with the least to lose if he crashes as he has already won the Tour in previous years and doesn't go to the Olympics so I pick him for this TT as he will probably be the one willing to take more risks.

Having said that, if Pogačar decides to take similar risks to Vingegaard, he should be able to take his sixth stage win of this Tour. Buitrago to overtake Ciccone for 10th on GC.

So, top three gaps:

Evenepoel
Pogacar @ 15s
Vingegaard @35s

Pog
Vingegaard @30
Evenepoel @1 minute or thereabouts.

It's a climbing & descending ITT. Add the fact it's a GT third week time trial (on the last day, no less) & the hierarchy should be respected, which is Pog number one because he's the best climber & visibly has the best form, then Vingegaard & then the rest etc.

I don't think Evenepoel's natural superiority in a TT will have any relevance on this unique profile & TdF stage 21 at all.

A small part of me is hoping that Pogačar will have a Michael Rasmussen 2005-esque ITT, and he'll be 5:20 behind Vingegaard with a km to go, but that he will manage to cut it by 7 seconds before the line due to exceptional cornering.
Samu, you have more endurance than Pog.

Pogi will win if he races it, but given his only route to losing the tour is a dumb yet agonising crash I feel like he'll not be pushing this

My bid:

It will be a fight for the hot seat at the closing stages.

1. "They forced me" Pogi
2. Vingo '26 - The miracle is real. He seemed on top of his pedals yesterday (nothing to do against a Pogi smelling a finish line) and his confidence TT'ing downhill hairy slopes is back, I think
3. Remco '42 - he will sacrifice anything for a revenge, but downhill not in his favor, besides stamina will sum up.
