A bit worrying for those who want to see close battles for victory in cycling - we haven't had much of that this season.

I would not have thought Tadej would put time into Jonas on rhe descent. Rhe gap was only 7 seconds on rhe top of rhe Galibier.

Jonas practiced descents prior to rhe Tour to regain his confidence after his terrible crash. It's tough. It will be interesting to see what he says about that.

Given the TT on stage 7 would expect Vingegaard to get a fair amount of those seconds back...

then stage 9 might get interesting with Visma being more suited to it.

And guess Pogi might get some seconds on stage 11.

But the big questions now are:

Can Vingegaard be back up near his usual level in 11 days time for stage 14?
Are Visma able to actually help him? Because that was pathetic really.

Jorgenson looked like a Ardennes classic rider and not a GC helper when the going got tough. Certainly not Kuss right now is he?

Dunno how you can tell, everyone remembers "last man left with Tadej and Jonas" Sepp, nobody remembers the other half the time when he's "cracks alongside random Frenchmen halfway up the hill for no apparent reason" Sepp.

Very rarely has he cracked on the important days :)
