Hugely impressed by Abrahamsen this Tour, great legs but also great desire
The whole peleton deserve DNF today, so lame. It's an excellent day for the break but no one cares about TdF stage wins anymore.😡
They are probably in one of the designated parking areas.
I'm going next year, mostly to see the sites. I'd like to watch the Tour from one of the small towns and some other places. I'm not brave enough to try to join the madness of the high mountains.I think it is hard for everbody to be in prime positions. When I investigated options to do 3 weeks of TDF with camper (once boys are old enough to be left alone with father) I saw that is quite a fuss to get to designated location as you must travel the middle of the night, before roads are closed,... so for some stages you probably just stay on less attractive parking areas and enjoy the day.
Yeah, it's just malpractice for teams with little or no chance at victory to at least try.The whole peleton deserve DNF today, so lame. It's an excellent day for the break but no one cares about TdF stage wins anymore.😡
The only one actually willing to care about the break.Hugely impressed by Abrahamsen this Tour, great legs but also great desire
The peloton tried to follow but he was just too strong. The only one actually willing to care about the break.
I envy the villagers who can just watch the race from their windows or from their doorsteps... I'm sure for some it's a huge hassle if they're not fans of cycling. But for those who are, well, I envy them.I'm going next year, mostly to see the sites. I'd like to watch the Tour from one of the small towns and some other places. I'm not sure what to expect. Bike races whiz past so fast. We'll mostly be there to see (I hope) a lot of the things we've seen on TV over the many years -- Chartres, Saint Michel, Paris, etc.I envy the villagers who can just watch the race from their windows or from their doorsteps... We are definitely doing a mild version. We'll probably be there a couple of weeks, I think the last two weeks of the race.I was for one week in 2020 TDF with friends and it was a blast. We were with two motorhomes and some days there was a problem who to put behind the wheel. Since I am not much of a drinker these days it felt like 24/7 party to me. Some fans are undestructible.
Unfortunately was not there for the final week. Now I want to try a little less wild version with kids as soon as they will have enough patience and independance.
This is mainly why I envy the villagers - they can just look out the window, watch the riders whiz by, and then they can get on with their day. It sounds so convenient and practical.I'm not sure what to expect. Bike races whiz past so fast. Idk but they would prefer as early as possible with the prospect of crosswinds.Ugly weather. What's the cut off kilometer for the same time for the GC contenders?
I just heard the news from Austria... Norwegian cyclist passed away.
Commentator in my country just said it.
Damn.
A fall in a descent. Incredibly sad.![]()
