They're not, but I don't think Vingegaard is a boring rider per se – he attacks a good amount in the mountains. He's having to defend himself here, and he's doing well

If he was a better actor and less blatant about it he could have kept them working longer though. You know, be Rui Costa rather than Simon Gerrans.

He had to bridge alone after sector 13 since Vlasov didn't want or couldn't help and no one else there. So not sure. But they for sure could have made it waaaay harder for him.

Why on earth should Vinge pull? Not his terrain, can't be sure of his form given lack of training, 3rd week is where he can make the difference. If Pog and Remco want to burn energy, fine do that, just good for Vinge.

Vingegaard's strategy is clear. Wait on week 3, until then, don't lose more. And that would be a huge success and he has a real chance of winning.

Jonas knows where he will be at his best. When he dropped Tadej last year on the Col de la Loze, that was very exciting stuff.

and you can bet the contenders will speculate in these things. as not having your own optimised bike, is an issue.
