Was thinking the same. His best option.Boring Vingegaard, Remco should just ask MVDP to attack together
They're not, but I don't think Vingegaard is a boring rider per se – he attacks a good amount in the mountains. He's having to defend himself here, and he's doing wellJustified and boring are not mutually exclusive.
If he was a better actor and less blatant about it he could have kept them working longer though. You know, be Rui Costa rather than Simon Gerrans. In fairness he would have been building his own scaffolding for a hanging. Work with remco and pogi and then what, they kill him later on.
Yeah he should take advantage of pointless efforts by others, as he did.Vingegaard is the only one with a brain in this race
He had to bridge alone after sector 13 since Vlasov didn't want or couldn't help and no one else there. So not sure. But they for sure could have made it waaaay harder for him.Rogla only one not spending energy.
Had to bridge the last bit on his own earlier though...Rogla only one not spending energy.
It does make sense for the least punchy rider not to ride with the other two though. He wouldn't have gained much"The racing situation" = "Jonas Vingegaard"
He's just not at the level of the other three rn, I reckon he's still less fresh than themRogla only one not spending energy.
Vingegaard's strategy is clear. Wait on week 3, until then, don't lose more. And that would be a huge success and he has a real chance of winning.Nothing against vingegaard but I will never cheer for riders like that how wierd....apperently only evnepoel and pog wanne distance roglic and vingegaard only wanne wheelsuck.. shocking!!
The only weird ones today are Remco and PogacarNothing against vingegaard but I will never cheer for riders like that how wierd....apperently only evnepoel and pog wanne distance roglic and vingegaard only wanne wheelsuck.. shocking!!

Jonas knows where he will be at his best. When he dropped Tadej last year on the Col de la Loze, that was very exciting stuff. They're not, but I don't think Vingegaard is a boring rider per se – he attacks a good amount in the mountains. He's having to defend himself here, and he's doing well
Maybe. Reactive, most of all. Risking nothing unless they need to. It's called 'smart' as long as it's working, but it's also not winning over any neutral spectators.Winning?
