All being well, I shall be on Hautacam for stage 12 and somewhere on the Peyragudes climb for stage 13. I've never been before, so I'm very excited and hoping Jonas will be stronger than the Dauphine so we get something akin to the excitement of the 2023 Tour. For stage 14, I'm trying to decide whether to bother trying to get up the Tourmalet, or to stick with the Col d'Aspin, as we're staying just at the bottom so would make our lives a bit easier.

Stage 18 is a beast. Madeleine from the hard side has always been under-estimated. And the Glandon stair-like mountain is just a distraction. Because it is hard as well.

Well I was doing similar stuff the last two years. This year, I'm not really feeling it at all...

I mentioned this in the thread on climbers as well: folks who have access to L’Equipe online or in paper, they have a special issue out that is devoted entirely to the past 50 years of the polka dot jersey.

PCS have the same virus of Tour.

When they "cut" the first part of superbagneres?

They put 12.4 km at 7.4 %, but the climb have 18.2 km.

Why do you care? PCS probably just copied the stats of the Tour. Same stuff with Ventoux, big deal. Probably gives a better representation of the climb anyways when you cut the starting 2-5% out of the climb

I would never do that.

Also if I did it I would never admit it since that's such a waste of time, so yeah, never ever doing that...

5% is very efficient at whittling down the peloton.

It was also on those first km where Hinault was dropped

If you were looking at the stage profile, that would mean you were intending watching the race, and we all know the effect of you watching...

Yes, it is my obsession. I even draw profiles with pen and paper in the back page of my notebook.

And often when I'm in the shower, I draw profiles of climbs on the steamed glass of th shower door. Sorry if that'd too much info, but I just love looking at profiles of stages!!

Could I respectfully suggest changing your showers to cold.
No steamed glass, a saving on energy bill and might jolt you out of 'your obsession'.
