I'm just going off the timing points - T1 is at 995m and finish line at 1580m, and Plapp did it in 19:06. He did T2-Finish (final 280m of elevation) in 9:11, which is still around the 1830 mark, isn't it?@Brullnux seeing VPP pass the KoM sign 4 minutes in makes me think perhaps the Plapp VAM isn't quite 1850
I would have to concur. Not much variety of églises et chateaux today
How time flies.Van Aert and Ala reminiscing
"Remember 6 years ago mate"
"Yeah, good times "
Ok, so something around 3'15"-3'30". Thanks mate!Just under 3 I think, ~2.8
Why would there be more action tomorrow if they had a breakaway day or sprint stage today? If they made a more sensible route we could have an easier stage today, and then more action tomorrow. Instead they moved all the hard stages to the latter half, and now we have mountain stages all together.
And rightly so. There is no point in having a time limit if nobody misses one all race, as is the norm in GTs these days.Van Aert complaining about the time limit getting increased.
Always rated van Aert.
They are a cycling family. I saw Dad and Colby (from EF) and presumably mom at the cafe the other week, all out for a gravel ride.Wow, Harley Simmons' dad's beard has grown so much since the last time they've shown him a few days ago, and they totally have the same laugh!
Quite a few guys were close at T1 and then bonked later.Sweeney down by 14s to Plapp at time check 2. He's been very strong so I am interested in how he finishes the last section.
