i guess everybody was a bit fatigued today - after the efforts the last 2 days.
apparantly Vingegaard was not feeling well enough to test Pogacar today. Otherwise the profile would have been perfect for an attack on Peyresourde. Today would have been a day for "all or nothing". Pity it did not happen.
Lipowitz had clearly no reason to attack after Evenepoel out. And his competitors for Podium apparently also did not have the legs for an attack

I get why people dont like it, and Im not a fan myself, but given the design constraints for it, I think its the best combination you can do, so Im not all about the pile on with it, its not the best kit, its certainly not the worst we've ever seen or will ever see
Certainly not up there with some of the beloved classics....

Not quite right. The highest climb is Mangart which s very close to the Vrsic col . The combo of Vrsic and Mangart MTF can rival the thoughest GT mountain stages.
That would be epic but it will never happen due to logistics...

I'm surprised people don't get squashed more often tbh.

Some folks are insane and have no concept of danger. Special shout out on the wtf scale goes to the people who let their children wander unguarded at the side of the road when vehicles are flying by.

An excellent race. Solo effort was outstanding, well deserved win.
Over the top intelligent racing by Pogacar, if rumours of minor health issues are true, makes performance that much more impressive, the guy just chips away whenever possible. Vingegaard, multiple excellent late efforts and the net result was small distance gains on nearest rivals and his efforts were net negative still losing time to Pogacar. UnoX may have been invited using the wildcard!! Team has showed up in every way..
Ineos shows signs of life after mostly looking flatlined.
Everything associated with Remco should be under review, still young but multiple media hype failures.. Pumped up as a contender, Remco and his team publicly proclaimed the goal and miserable overall outcome.. And ego and established pecking order is still a thing, if Remco Redbull is a thing, Remco is not going to transfer to be a support rider to Lipowitz..stupid scenario. Dangerous mental game if Remco is going home to regroup and prep for Vuelta, yikes for his future if Pog repeats again in Spain?
Visma ridiculous riding has majority of their riders zapped of energy after trying to drop Pogacar for 10 days!!
Yates, 6+ back, Sepp strategy of doing nothing and saving him, has Kuss 8+ minutes back and the rider who was involved in multiple controversial conversations and actions was proven again better at banter, tossed aside at 18+ minutes off the pace..now a dismal 32+ minutes out in GC so it's looking like Visma overview so far is not effective.
And just to spread it around Visma staff fined over @1100 Swiss Francs ($1370usd)so far for misconduct..It's hard to blame Visma riders for the strategy cesspool they are currently swimming in..

Just a yellow card for the vehicular homicide, crack celebrity team of Marcus Alonso and Caitlyn Jenner on the race jury for todays stage.

And a £4700 fine
*** hell 4700?!

I would like to think it's going towards the medical bills or perhaps a road safety initiative, think it's meant to go towards the home fed, but I suspect the UCI are about to have a hell of a Christmas party.

Clara Aulinas was the one who Juan Allaphilipe borrowed the cardboard from today.

Hope she sees the funny side of it now, seems like it was a marriage proposal 😆

A road safety initiative to teach spectators to pay more attention to their surroundings ?

Look the guy driving the car absolutely shouldn't have done that, and had the control in the situation not to do it, so dumb idiot, relegate him to handing out bottles from now on, but the way some spectators behave on these mountain stages collisions are frankly im surprised it doesn't happen more often.

You had multiple "fans" running alongside riders, against the Tours guidance, you've had all those flags in riders faces, Lenny Martinez spent way more time than he should have shooing people out of his way up the Tourmalet.

The guy with the horns on the helmet wtf was that about !?!?

Back in the day the gendarmes did a much better effort at clearing a way through for teams and riders because they would ride into you on a motorbike unless you moved, the ones stationed up there would take you out if you stood in the way.

Respect the riders, respect the race
