Vingegaard played it correctly today.
No he didn't.

All he could gain today was a stage win, and he didnt even try because he was scared of Pogacar outsprinting him. Absolute cat.

He also claimed he would leave it all out there in an effort to win the TDF - that's 2 stages in a row and he didn't even try.

Yeah honestly that was totally ok by Vingegaard if he attacks earlier Pogi counters and gets the stage win. So in the end 2nd was the best placing possible. A bit curious why Pogacar did ride the way he was. Of course he's not on the pyrenees level but clearly also didn't had any problems with the increased pace by Lipowitz.
By that logic, Vingegaard shouldn‘t have tried anything on any stage because Pogačar would just counter.

Pog clearly had little left - Jonas will be kicking himself he didn't go earlier

Onley still only 22 and on a pretty mediocre team. Ineos should be all in for him, but he'll probably end up at Decathlon?

I've always been and will remain a Roglic fan (among other riders I like too). But he might as well give his team and the Tour the finger when he crosses the line today.
Probably Rog's last chance to win a TDF stage, so I can kind of see why he did what he did. ...
