Easy to say from the couch.
Vingo said the Tour is not over. He clearly was quite good today ( followed Pogs attack) but despite Pogacars leadout for kilometers not a single try by Vingo: if not for GC victory then at least for prestige trying to drop Pog and gain time and some psychological advantage ahead of future encounters .

I almost never criticize his tactics but he chickened out this time.

It blows my mind someone trying to defend Vingegaard here, specially when a guy is leading the GC and won 4 stages and the other has 0 stages and nothing else to conquer in this Tour.
I don't really get this narrative... Vingegaard looked like he was trying to win the stage. He knows he can't drop Pogacar, so attacking low down the climb is a pointless endeavour. I think he made a mistake in the final km and left it too late, but in general the Gerrans approach was the best for the stage win. It's sad, but it's a reflection of the gap between the two riders.

Pogacar: *Drops Vingegaard every climb, especially in the final 200m every climb*

Cycling fans: "Why doesn't Vingegaard work for Pogacar?"

LOL, what?

If you're a Vingegaard fan, and you are happy after this sh*tshow, then no-one can help you I'm afraid.
This is just like Carapaz not working with Del Toro.

You don't gift *** to your primary opponent. Especially when he never gives you an inch.

Pogacar makes his team work all day. He pulls, he clearly wants to win the stage. Why should Vingegaard help him?
