Veleers suddenly stopped, he blocked and endangered other sprinters, absolutely unfair win for ARG and Kittel. No doubt he did it deliberately.

Some small gaps there, some riders came home at +6 seconds, some at +11 seconds. Not sure whether the judges might blame the crash at all and change the classification. Doesnt look like anyone significant on GC lost more than that.

Look at Greipels win and the move Henderson makes. This is what all the sprint teams do.

About the accident today, the both move towards each other. I agree about a racing accident.

Not the biggest fan of Cav but there was nothing wrong with his sprint. Veelers just eased off and Cav was full on sprinting in which case a slight shoulder bump is going to throw off a guy not controlling his bike 'firmly';)

Props to Sagan and his bike handling skills... Just like he said only a crash will prevent him from getting to Paris w/o the green jersey;)

Argos guy should be disqualified from the race. looks back, slows down, move to the right blocking Cav path to his team sprinter. Deliberately endagering the health of other riders, elimination.

just watched 2 different slo mo's Veelers was a foot a foot and a half too the left of the centre white line; when collision with Cav happens hes the same too the right of it,he knew exactly what he was doing. His guy was on his left, Cav too his right. So he went right.
**** happens; its a sprint in a GT not an IP in a velodrome
Edit see above post ^^^

So Greipel bumps T Martin on stage 1 leading to a huge pile-up and Martin left in a bad state, nothing is said.

Cav bumps the Argos guy (who tried to block him) and everyone wants him out! Funny old world.

The general consensus ive been reading here is that it was an accident.

i just dont like that cavendish gives other sprinters a hard time for been dangerous and then he does that himself

There was nothing dangerous about what Cav did, it's just part of normal sprinting. He moved to the right to pass Veelers, who was dropping back having been part of the lead out. Seeing Cav going to the right, Veelers shifted right to block/impede Cav. Cav shouldered him to protect his line, which was clearly not the line that Veelers had been on. Tbh, I'm shocked that Veelers went down from that contact. You see much worse than that in a lot of sprints with nobody going down. Veelers should get a fine/DQ for that.

Before that Sagan was leaning severely on someone, thought there'd be two DQ's or at least relegation's? Mini Fine?

Luckily no major injuries.
