From the crashed motorbike?

Conspiracies abound. All i know is that El Shack didn't wait for Gesink in the Basque Country when he slipped over an oil slick.

two riders have actually said that. I doubt fuglsang and cadel would of made something up like that.

Cadel said he went down and is bruised.

Some teams/riders are more equal than others, esp. if they fall simult.

I think it's as simple as that.

No mercy if you are a second tier team.
Definitely.

Really?

Cav is the big winner today then (he wasn't even the bad guy this time!). After Chavanel of course.

Hunter is always whining whatever happens. I am fed up with that boy since a long time.

I have. It sucks. They didn't neutralize the race for any of us. We didn't cry about it. And we're just a bunch of amateur schmucks.

You've never taken a free lap?

Robbie Hunter has also lost a lot respect today. Everyone knew the route from the start. I think AC went down as he seemed a bit muddy but looked fine. Cadel said pretty much everyone went down.
Robbie hunter
In the northern classic most of the bunch are used to riding on these roads most of the Tour peleton never ever do the classics #dangerous

Wow..Such anger..Cancellara played it right and did his job..He sacrificed the jersey and controlled the main field.. He could have sat up and gone back for the Schlecks leaving the front to attack. I doubt that RS Leaky and Astana would have rejoined then try to punish Saxo.

We had some bad crashes yesterday but everybody continued to race IE .

1. A crazed/loose dog taking out Liephiemer, Millar.
2. Cavendish running into Hunt after a misjudgment.
3. Another huge crash after that but everybody kept going..

tour of Austria here i come.

The official website says that Chavanel got 25 points, but nobody else has any.

It wasn't meant against Evans and Fuglsang.... But rather at the people who were claiming it was a motorbike 30 minutes ago.

Don't know what caused the oil slick, but it certainly is force majeure or anything like that.

Andy Schleck could have lost the Tour today--we'll have to see the extent of his injuries--it's only due to Cancellara's ability to bring the peloton to a stop that he didn't. I don't know why other riders didn't attack, but Fabian was the acting like the perfect team mate.

For all that, Cancellara also surrendered the yellow jersey today. That's the sign of some teammate.

Thor want to sprint. He was pretty ****ed at Canc, you could them gesturing

I don't blame Thor. Canc has his Tour goal (Schlecks on GC), and Thor should be allowed to have his own Tour goal too (Green jersey). This was an important day for Thor with Cav dropped. Thor, Robbie, etc did their work to get over those climbs so they could be there at the finish. F*** Cancellara for trying to take that away from them.

Don't see why they couldn't just let the sprinters sprint. The GC favorites don't have to take any chances - they would only lose few seconds to the likes of Thor, Robbie, etc. Seconds they will easily take back in the big mountains. No reason for the protest.

That looked like dirt to me. Like the dirt from the spray the rear wheel throws. But don't know yet for sure.

None of what happened today makes tomorrow look like a very worthwhile stage.

As has been stated, so what does Cance do if he is leading on the cobbles and other top tier gc guys go down? He could make a complete @ss of himself given what happened today.

Crash 3 within the final 3 km.

As for tour of Austria unless you have an Austrian IP than the feed is restricted. Even then ORF1 will only show stage 4 live.

Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff.

In 1997 Ullrich got to the mountain stages with 3-7 minutes on several contenders because there were constant crashes. Nobody whined.

With the sore peleton today, tommorow will be carnage.

FC lost the jersey but he acted like a baby. He will not wait tommorow for others. Surprsing the way he acted es. being a cobbled classics rider.

Yeah. That's expected though! What happened behind didn't affect him. So he should have got maximum points.

+1

This pi$$ed me off. Waiting for the peloton to regroup is fine, but not to do a sprint in the end? ***.

Today's biggest winner?

CONTADOR

why?
Today's stage just proved that neither Saxo, nor RS are willing to hurt each other-If LA had not fallen, he had pushed the pace and hurt the Schleck Bro's- but somehow he'd concluded that forcing Saxo to go aggressive too earlier in the Alps would hurt him the most.
Saxo is in trouble with Andy & Frank being caught in crashes & they seem very fragile at the moment...

Time is running out for those teams to take time on Conti;)

Cadel was not ripped up at all and he fell off. You don't have to have rips to have a crash.

Robbie Hunter is ****ed on me after some Twittermessages: **** you I never stole anything from Thor and if he wanted he could have raced..he was one of them that was ****ed off!! ****

Longing to hear from Hushovd. Surprised Hunter says he knows about Hushovd reaction because he was 10 minutes down.

I think you are 100% right. Saxo other than FC have been dissapointing from the prologue. Will be intersting to see who is seriously injured.
